This is a 3-Day instructor preparation program in Roadworthy Communication de-escalation and conflict management course. Upon completion of training the attendee will be prepared to teach the course to transit operators.
Roadworthy Communication was designed specifically with transit professionals and the unique challenges they face in mind.
Every day, operators and front-line supervisors handle difficult situations from fare evaders to angry and hostile individuals who may be under the influence of drugs and or alcohol or dealing with mental health challenges. Roadworthy Communications will equip your operators with the tools and techniques for successfully, professionally, and empathetically managing these situations.
In addition, the course will provide tools for operators and front-line supervisors to more effectively manage their own emotional states and remain calm when dealing with stressful situations allowing them to make better decisions in these challenging moments when anger or fear is affecting their decision making.
Topics covered:
Attendees will receive copies of all the presentations, PDFs of handouts for duplication, a presenters manual & workbook, a review of their training activity for feedback, and a certification to teach the Roadworthy Communications course to your agency staff.
