Do you have a suggested topic you’d like to see covered at the conference?
Do you or a colleague have any educational insights you can share with leaders from across Michigan’s public transportation systems?
We are seeking suggested topics or proposals to present at this two-day program, which brings together top leaders from Michigan transit agencies, specialized service providers, MDOT, and business partners to discuss key issues.
Session formats are typically 45-60 minutes, with at least 15 minutes reserved for Q&A and discussion. We try to schedule a variety of breakout sessions to appeal to diverse needs and interests. We highly encourage interactive sessions and case studies including a transit provider as a co-presenter if possible.
Presenter responsibilities:
- Identify and incorporate actionable takeaways for transit providers; sessions should be educational rather than commercial
- Provide session title & description and presenter(s) biography & headshot
- Develop compelling visual aids and/or attendee interactions
Please share suggested presentation topics or specific proposals to present by Friday, April 18. Please email John@MPTAonline.org with any questions or for more information.
Potential session topics include but are not limited to:
- Creative revenue or fundraising ideas
- Labor negotiations
- Workforce development & training
- Working with data
- Communications & marketing practices
- Operational effectiveness
- Succession planning and/or knowledge management
- Capital projects
- Technology/hardware applications
- Non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT)
- Insurance and risk mitigation
