MPTA Membership Application

Business Members are those that provide products or services to transportation providers.

Business Member dues are based on a fiscal year beginning October 1st. Annual Dues are $350 and will be billed upon membership approval.

Other Transportation Provider Members are those that directly operate transportation services—such as community‑based, nonprofit, or NEMT/contracted services —but are not public transit agencies and typically do not receive Local Bus Operating (LBO) funding.

Specialized Service Member dues are based on a fiscal year beginning October 1st. Annual Dues are calculated based on the number of operating Michigan vehicles, with the formula as follows:

• 1-5 operating Michigan vehicles
  • $200 per year
• 6-10 operating vehicles
  • $400 per year
• 11-25 operating vehicles
  • $600 per year
• 26-50 operating vehicles
  • $1,000 per year
• 50-100 operating vehicles
  • $1,500 per year
• More than 100 vehicles
  • $2,000 per year

Transit Members are agencies providing organized public transportation services in the state of Michigan and are typically those that receive state Local Bus Operating (LBO) funding.

Transit Member dues are based on a fiscal year beginning October 1st. Transit member dues are equal to .1% (.001) of eligible operating expenses, with a minimum dues of $700 and a maximum of $40,000, and will be billed upon membership approval.
